An evaluator is neither an advocate for the defense or prosecution. The role of the forensic evaluator is to assist the trier of fact by providing impartial, well described, and quantified data and opinions. While the opinions of Forensic Evaluators are ultimately theirtication of forensic assessment instruments and forensically relevant instruments1 has increased significantly across these four decades.
