Arcane Strike, as an every-turn action, has to compete with the rest of a Magus' toolbox, but does so fairly poorly. Some spell strikes with the new spells can net you well over 100-120 damage in a crit at Character lvl 7 so this is probably one of the highest damage crit builds out there. You also start out with heavy armor so thats another major plus. On the spellcasting end I would recommend Magus/Witch over Wizard any day. Magus is not a novice-friendly class. If you just need 2-handed weapons with some casting abilities, Fighter+Wizard or Fighter+Sorcerer would be easier to handle.
